Heart@Work is a registered Impaq tutoring centre (since 2017) offering homeschoolers from grade 4 of the CAPS curriculum the opportunity to receive supplementary and additional education and to be socially active with other homeschoolers. We offer guaranteed one on one time with a qualified teacher. Our core principles are to teach each child to be disciplined and responsible.

Heart@Work is located in 27 Victoria Street in child friendly premises. We have an indoor work space with internet and a communal area with play facilities to be used during their half hour break each day. Heart@Work allows learners an optional 5 minute “brain break” every 45 minutes to ensure their productivity.

At Heart@Work we do daily, weekly and term planning for each child. Because we are only a tutoring centre we do not prescribe compulsory attendance of our learners but kindly request learners to stay on the weekly schedule that the teacher has set out. This will be monitored closely by the teacher at the end of each week. At Heart@Work we encourage an open door policy and the participation of parents.

As a tutoring centre we do not perform official assessments of our learners, unless the child is given assessments by a curriculum supplier (such as Impaq).
